Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Ozone Therapy:
What is filler ?
The facial filler used at LIVV are made up of Hyaluronic acid, a natural substance our bodies produce. The use of filler help eliminate wrinkles, hydrate and plump the skin, and replace volume loss. They can also be used to volumize creases and folds of the face. As we age we loose volume and are susceptible to wrinkles and fine lines, especially due to sun damage and repeated muscle movement.
When will I see results?
Results are immediate post treatment. The healing process involves swelling and possible bruising for 3-7 days depending on the amount and area injected and how your own body responds to the procedure. Final results are seen around the 2-3 week mark post injections. Plan 2 weeks before any big event or trips in case of residual bruising and swelling.
What's the recovery time?
Bruising and swelling is expected for a 2 week recovery period.
What should I do before my appointment?
Avoid alcohol 5-7 days prior to procedure to minimize bruising. Stop all blood thinner 7 days before appointment including fish oils, vitamin E, naproxen, ibuprofen, aspirin, turmeric, ginkgo biloba. Avoid vaccine or dental works 2 weeks prior to appointment.
How much does filler cost?
Because everyone’s needs are different, and with such a wide variety of treatments involving filler, a personal consultation is the best way to establish cost. With that in mind, filler treatments start at $650. This cost not only reflects the price of the product, but also the skill, knowledge and expertise of the medical injector.
How long do the results last?
Longevity differs from person to person and from treatment to treatment. Because the product is being injected into the body, some bodies may metabolize the product faster than others. Average longevity is anywhere from 6-18 months.
How often will I need treatments?
In order to maintain results, filler is recommended on a recurring basis. The exact time frame varied from patient to patient. Your provider at LIVV will set up an individualized treatment plan with you.
What should I do after my appointment?
Keep you head elevated and apply ice with light pressure as needed for swelling. Avoid blood thinning agents like aspirin, ibuprofen, or naproxen tylenol may be used for any discomfort. Avoid vaccine or dental work 2 weeks post procedure. Apply topical or take oral arnica for bruising. Avoid exercising for 24 hours post procedure. If you had lip filler avoid using straws, kissing, or rubbing your lips after injections for 24 hours.
