Ozone Therapy

• The process involves mixing O3 gas into blood circulation. Treatments are characterized by a certain number of passes, each pass entails pulling out 200 mls of blood, spinning it with 70 gamma of ozone gas and heparin, and pressurizing it back into the body. This process is repeated until the desired number of passes is complete. Although each pass takes 30-45 seconds, ozone therapy sessions may last between 60-90 minutes depending on the number of passes completed.
• Most individuals start with 3-passes to see how they respond to the treatment, although one treatment can reach a maximum of 10-passes. The number of total treatments needed varies for each individual based on several factors such as the type/number of infection(s), level of inflammation, and progression of disease. This will be determined by your prescribing doctor.

All individuals require an initial consultation and bloodwork before having IV ozone done to assess health status and ensure safety. IV ozone therapy does pose risks, although when performed properly there are typically no adverse effects.

• Nasal ozone insufflation involves administering a 20-40 gamma of ozone through the nasal passages with the use of a syringe (without a needle). The ozonated oil ultimately reaches the sinuses, delivering its therapeutic actions along the way. This may cause an initial cleansing out of mucus drainage.
• This therapy has a cumulative effect, so it is often performed for several days in a row or multiple times each week until symptoms improve. A typical treatment series would last a total of 4-8 weeks, depending on the severity of infection.

Nasal ozone insufflation is a safe and effective way to simultaneously address the root cause and provide symptomatic relief for acute and chronic respiratory conditions.
